 CONSTRUCTION

     February 6, 2006 (30
Minutes)
Cumulative build time, 5.5 hours
 Finished drilling the
chassis and removed the protective blue plastic. I added a hole for an octal
slot. DRILLING THE CHASSIS (now complete)

    |
    The chassis came with a
protective plastic coating. I had three more holes to drill to finish up. To
make it a family affair, I had my wife and daughter drill two of the final
holes. They were very excited...really! |
    With the plastic coating
removed you can see the nice quality holes left by the step bit. The
staggered alignment of the two hole pairs in this photo is intentional. |
    |

     Finished
chassis. You can clearly see the hole for the octal tube (largest hole in
the chassis). The  1 1/8" hole is a little large for my taste, but will work.

    The underside of the chassis.
Now it's time for paint. |
